***Ask about fostering to adopt Sarg!*** Sarg is a 4-year-old happy-go-lucky cairn, Scottish terrier mix who is happy and very friendly. He gets along just fine with other dogs but we are unsure about cats. He rides well in the car and does well on the leash and enjoys going for walks. We are unsure about his past since we rescued him from a high kill pound in California, but he seems to be a happy dog who was once loved. Sarg will do well in just about any living situation but will benefit from additional training and socialization. Sarg is doing well with his potty training but will need a grace period to get used to his new home and your ... (Read More)schedule.     Blond Cairn. Was my in-laws pet. He recently passed away and she has moved into a senior facility. We have taken the dog but we are very busy and doing a lot of travel since retiring. We had a Jack Russell for 17 years that passed away 2 years ago and really not ready to be tied down with a dog at this time.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Cairn in Washington
Cairn Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Cairn Terrier is a shaggy, spunky little dog with tons of energy and personality. The indefatigable Cairn is full of energy and is very lovable. Cairns love to dig, chase, and bark. Cairns are very active and need plenty of exercise but adapt well to apartment life. Cairns like to do tricks and are very trainable. Cairns are wonderful with children. A Cairn can be very territorial and should be watched for a tendency to take on much larger dogs if it feels threatened.
