Rescue Me ID: 15-08-19-00289  (female)

Cairn    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

A former coworker/friend of mine has had to be moved to managed care facility due to early stage dementia. She owns a Cairn Terrier (~3yo female named Muffin) who is in need of a new permanent home. I'm currently taking care of her and taking care of some medical needs that she has (flee allergy). I'd happily keep her, however, I have 3 large and rather high energy Huskies, so, while she actually holds her own quite well with them and has adjusted well to her new home, she's going to need a better home in the long term. She's very sweet and deserves a nice home that's bit more small dog friendly.

They are super sweet and playful. Both are young dogs under 2. They would love a fenced yard to play in, but apartment living is ok.     For more pictures of this cutie go here http://imageevent.com/hearttoheart/daisy2015 Hi There-My name is Daisy. I am a 2 year old Cairn Terrier mix girl-weighting in at about 7 pounds. I was found as a stray around Baldwin Park. My family did not take very good care of me. I was infested with fleas and my coat was a mess. My Mom brought me home to Irvine and I am all cleaned up and looking beautiful now. Mom tells me-I can live with her and my foster sisters until I find a home of my very own. My Mom is always laughing at my under bite. She tells me I am all the more - cuter for it. Makes it look like I have a big smile all the time. I ... (Read More)am one lover girl that just wants to find a home of her very own and give you all the love I have. I get along with other doggies in my foster home. Yet when my Mom is busy on the computer, I just lay quietly on the tile floor. I walk on the leash like a champ and love going on car rides. I am crate trained. At night I sleep in my crate and you will not hear a peep out of me Daisy is one sweet dog; she does not have a single mean bone in her entire body and would be a perfect addition to any family. She loves everybody-;men-women-kids; everybody is her friend. Daisy is a bundle of love and joy that will fill your world with tons of happiness for years to come. Daisy is spayed, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on all her shots. She is good to go and ready and waiting. Daisy's adoption fee is only $250 and she is worth every penny of it. What more can you ask for??? Daisy is being fostered in Irvine, CA. Please contact nimmi.smith@yahoo.com for more information on Daisy (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Cairn in Washington
Cairn Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Cairn Terrier is a shaggy, spunky little dog with tons of energy and personality. The indefatigable Cairn is full of energy and is very lovable. Cairns love to dig, chase, and bark. Cairns are very active and need plenty of exercise but adapt well to apartment life. Cairns like to do tricks and are very trainable. Cairns are wonderful with children. A Cairn can be very territorial and should be watched for a tendency to take on much larger dogs if it feels threatened.
