Rescue Me ID: 16-03-28-00583Jilly (female)

Cairn Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed

Jillian (Jilly) was born the first part of May, 2014 and we believe she might be a Cairn Terrier mixed with something a little larger. She currently weighs about 16 lbs. and we don't think she will get any larger. We have her sister Jolie too. Jillian is more the gold color of the Cairn terrier than Jolie who is a little more blonde. Jillian is a little on the shy side and we feel she will do best is a household with other friendly dogs. She has a slight submissive elimination disorder but that usually goes away as them become more confident in their surroundings She is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, heart worm tested ... (Read More)and is on monthly heart worm prevention. She is crate trained but still needs a little work with her house training. Jillian's adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in meeting her please email ARNT for a pre adoption questionnaire. Because a home visit to check out the fence around the property is part of the adoption process, Jillian is available for adoption in the immediate DFW area only. (Less)

Benji is the scruffiest, sweetest little boy who sports the most adorable Mohawk! When Benji was first saved from ACS, he was very scared and confused about his new surroundings. After some time, love, and a whole lot of treats, Benji is like a brand new dog! He absolutely loves his foster siblings (especially Bruno our boxer mix) and enjoys playing and romping around with them in the yard. Benji hasn't met a pup he doesn't like! Benji is a little shy with people he first meets but opens up quickly and is a major sweetheart once he really gets to know you. When he greets you in the morning or when you are coming home from work, he is ... (Read More)extremely wiggly and does a cute little walking march because he is so excited. He is a fairly mellow pup but also has a playful side - the perfect combination. Benji is truly an amazing dog and is a joy to be around. He is potty trained, crate trained, and loves to go on walks! PIease Read Before Adopting a Cairn in Texas
Cairn Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Cairn Terrier is a shaggy, spunky little dog with tons of energy and personality. The indefatigable Cairn is full of energy and is very lovable. Cairns love to dig, chase, and bark. Cairns are very active and need plenty of exercise but adapt well to apartment life. Cairns like to do tricks and are very trainable. Cairns are wonderful with children. A Cairn can be very territorial and should be watched for a tendency to take on much larger dogs if it feels threatened.
