Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive

This girl has been abused. We don't know where, when or how we just know she has suffered some abuse. In saying that, we have had her in two homes to figure out her exact needs and we know how she needs a quiet home with adult women only and no kids. Other dogs will be just fine. She is a good girl but very timid. She does not warm up to men but loves women and other dogs. She is a cuddle bug and will follow you around forever when she trusts you. She is 10 pounds and is cuter in person, if that is possible. Ava is available for adoption now!

Lily is an about 2 year old 8lbs Chihuahua blend, but actually she is a miniature Llama. No, just kidding, although she looks like one. Lily is a 'Velcro' dog which means she is always by your side. Lily LOVES being with 'her' humans but also enjoys playing with her fellow K9 companions. She is housebroke, crate and doggie door trained, walks well on a leash and is all the way around an awesome dog. Lily can be a bit shy when she first meets strangers but within no time she makes friends with everyone. She is child and cat friendly, comes fully vetted, heartworm negative and is current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. When we rescued ... All of them have found their new families already and NOW it is time for Lily to find a family to call her own.     'ۢ We have LOTS of precious fur babies available for adoption, please come meet them at the Addison PetSmart - 3800 Belt Line, Addison, TX 75001 - every Saturday and Sunday from 1-6. Our adoption fees include a grooming with nail trim - all vaccines - deworming - a complete health check - a HW test if old enough - microchip - rabies - spay/neuter - and a PetSmart adoption starter kit that includes $5 off a six-month supply of HW preventative - a free %BD-hour private training session with a PetSmart accredited pet trainer - a free bag of food - a free doggie day camp session - a free overnight stay in a PetSmart PetsHotel - a free vet ... (Read More)exam at Banfield - grooming coupons - over $400 of coupons/savings - and MUCH MORE! We have a two-step adoption process, first, you submit an application, which is presented to our Board for approval or rejection - if approved, a home check is done. PS - WE NEED FOSTER HOMES FOR ANIMALS! Fosters are the backbone of animal rescue. In most EVERY shelter - in most EVERY county - in most EVERY city - animals r being euthanized (KILLED) daily due to overcrowding - dog - cat - large - small - male - female - puppy - kitten - old - young. We cannot save them without foster homes. APPROXIMATELY ONE OUT OF THREE ANIMALS THAT ENTER A SHELTER IS EUTHANIZED. These healthy sweet pets would have made great companions. Don't know what fostering is? Briefly - it is babysitting an animal until it is adopted. FOSTERING IS FREE TO DO! Most rescues cover all expenses for fosters, and anything they do not cover is tax-deductible. If u cannot foster - please ask your friends and family to. If u want more information - Google 'animal fostering.' I'm begging - it's only temporary but lives can't be saved unless people step up - PLEASE - shelters are overflowing - when you foster one animal - you save two lives - the one you foster and the one that gets his/her space in the shelter. If you can/will foster - let me know, I thank you - and the animals thank you! PS - Have you ever dreamed of helping a rescue but don't have the time, space, or just plain don't know what to do? At your pet limit? Allergic? Can't have pets where you live? Well - how about becoming a VIRTUAL FOSTER... You can choose a minimum amount of $10 a month to 'virtually' foster a homeless animal of your choice (of course, a larger sum would be happily accepted and appreciated). What does Virtual Foster mean? Our foster fur babies typically have many veterinary bills, as this is the nature of being rescued. There are also other expenses related to the ongoing care and rehab of fosters. As a Virtual Foster, your donation will go towards the vetting - medical care, and general care of the animal you have chosen. Your donation will go a LONG way in ensuring a foster dog receives the needed care and attention! In return for your kind donation, you will receive a periodic update on the progress of your foster. Once your foster is adopted, you will be notified so that you can choose another animal to virtually foster. If you genuinely cannot foster, there are still other ways to help. Drive for transports, evaluate dogs in your local animal shelter, or take pictures of their available animals. (Less)

Cairn Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed

Jillian (Jilly) was born the first part of May, 2014 and we believe she might be a Cairn Terrier mixed with something a little larger. She currently weighs about 16 lbs. and we don't think she will get any larger. We have her sister Jolie too. Jillian is more the gold color of the Cairn terrier than Jolie who is a little more blonde. Jillian is a little on the shy side and we feel she will do best is a household with other friendly dogs. She has a slight submissive elimination disorder but that usually goes away as them become more confident in their surroundings She is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, heart worm tested ... (Read More)and is on monthly heart worm prevention. She is crate trained but still needs a little work with her house training. Jillian's adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in meeting her please email ARNT for a pre adoption questionnaire. Because a home visit to check out the fence around the property is part of the adoption process, Jillian is available for adoption in the immediate DFW area only. (Less)

Cairn Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Male Dogs Only
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Junie B is ready for some fun and adventure like the girl in the children's books! This Junie B is fun, happy, cute, and ready to play. She is a young girl - about two years old and close to 13 pounds. We think she sounds like a Pug when she barks has the coloring, hair texture, and tail of a brindle Cairn, we really don't know what her mix is. Junie B may have some Brussels Griffon, poodle, or schnauzer mixed in - we really aren't sure. Junie B loves people, kids, and male dogs her size (big dogs kind of scare her and she doesn't get along well with female dogs). She has been spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and ready ... (Read More)for a home of her own! See more pictures at www.pawedsquad.com. WE ARE IN ABILENE, TEXAS. PIease Read Before Adopting a Cairn in Texas
Cairn Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Cairn Terrier is a shaggy, spunky little dog with tons of energy and personality. The indefatigable Cairn is full of energy and is very lovable. Cairns love to dig, chase, and bark. Cairns are very active and need plenty of exercise but adapt well to apartment life. Cairns like to do tricks and are very trainable. Cairns are wonderful with children. A Cairn can be very territorial and should be watched for a tendency to take on much larger dogs if it feels threatened.
