|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-04-00605Vito (male)|
9 week old Vito and his siblings came to the rescue at 5 weeks old after being surrendered to a high-kill shelter. They are all 3-4 lbs each. We believe they are cairn terrier/chihuahua mix puppies. Very sweet and lots of energy, like most terriers! They are a bit fearful of bigger dogs and also need to be in a home with older or no children. They are using training pads and are also going outside to potty. They are up-to-date on vaccinations, wormed and microchipped. It is the responsibility of the adopter to neuter this puppy. A contract and proof of neuter provided to the rescue is required. His adoption fee is $300. Please email for an application. firstname.lastname@example.org. PLEASE READ: Our adoption fees, especially the puppy fees, are the primary source of funding for our rescue and for our special medical cases. Our fees are not negotiable. Please understand that discounting our fees would prevent us from helping a dog in need. (Less)

Cairn Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Cairn Terrier is a shaggy, spunky little dog with tons of energy and personality. The indefatigable Cairn is full of energy and is very lovable. Cairns love to dig, chase, and bark. Cairns are very active and need plenty of exercise but adapt well to apartment life. Cairns like to do tricks and are very trainable. Cairns are wonderful with children. A Cairn can be very territorial and should be watched for a tendency to take on much larger dogs if it feels threatened.
