Reddish brown coat with black ears and black tail tip. Bane is a very good dog, patient and great with kids. He was found roaming the streets. We took him in because our friend could not. We have found our schedule is too full to give him the attention he needs.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-04-04-00246Christopher (male)|
Christopher is a little 12 pound terrier mix who only had hours left at the shelter where he was. I don't know how he ended up in a shelter. He is SUPER sweet, crate trained, walks on a leash, comes when called and is just a wonderful sweet dog. His temp foster who saved him by offering to foster until transport could be set up cried when he left for rescue, he had even got to sleep on the bed and loves to snuggle. He traveled great on the 12 hour ride home from the shelter. Perfect with the other dogs and puppies. Christopher will be neutered and is now UTD on vaccinations before he is available. We can hold him with a deposit for the right family until he has been neutered when he will be available. Current or past Vet number, and a contract is required to adopt. If your seriously interested in Christopher please send vet information in first email to us. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-04-01-00602Trixie (female)|
Trixie is a sweet, playful and loving, 18-month-old, 11-pound, female, Affenpinscher/Cairn Terrier-Mix looking for a loving guardian. Trixie was rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control. She was so frightened in her cage that she snapped at workers and a big E was stamped on her kennel card. Luckily, she was rescued right in the nick of time by Famous Fido's Rescue. When Trixie is not feeling threatened, which is about 99% of the time, she is the most fun-loving, snuggly and playful girl. She is full of kisses and tail wags within minutes of meeting dog-lovers. She's also good with other dogs. Trixie is healthy, de-wormed, vaccinated and heartworm-tested. She will be spayed and micro-chipped upon adoption. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits Famous Fido's Rescue Group. To meet and possibly adopt Trixie, please fill in the adoption application at: http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by contacting Gloria at firstname.lastname@example.org or 773-907-0305. |Rescue Me ID: 13-11-16-00016Murphy (male)|
Murphy is an incredibly sweet, handsome, spry and snugly, 25-pound, 14-year-old, male Cairn Terrier looking for a loving guardian. Murphy was brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control to be euthanized. When volunteers at the shelter took a look at him ... they said he has years left of love. He's a tad bit arthritic and has an eye infection, but he is super spunky, happy and so very loving. In the studio, Murphy snuggled up to me and then rolled over for belly rubs. He has personality plus and deserves to enjoy being part of a loving family for his golden years. Murphy is a great dog who appears to be housebroken, has good house manners, knows the command sit and takes treats ever so gently from your fingers. He seems fine with other dogs and loves people. Murphy is a healthy senior, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. To meet and possibly adopt Murphy, please fill in the on-line adoption application at http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by contacting Gloria at email@example.com or 773-907-0305. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido's. Murphy is currently staying at rescue headquarters at 5430 N. Clark Street in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood. Make an appointment to stop in and meet him and all the other adoptable dogs. (Less)

Cairn Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. The Cairn Terrier is a shaggy, spunky little dog with tons of energy and personality. The indefatigable Cairn is full of energy and is very lovable. Cairns love to dig, chase, and bark. Cairns are very active and need plenty of exercise but adapt well to apartment life. Cairns like to do tricks and are very trainable. Cairns are wonderful with children. A Cairn can be very territorial and should be watched for a tendency to take on much larger dogs if it feels threatened.
