Cairn Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Hi there! If you are looking for a dynamic duo to love, allow me to introduce me and my brother from another mother: my BFF is Micki, and my name is Mouse. We would love to find a forever home together and are available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation. I am a 5-year-old wire terrier mix with fluffy, scruffy hair that is as white as snow. I only weigh 7 itty bitty pounds, which means I will fit perfectly on any lap...which is definitely a good thing because I am probably the most affectionate dog you will ever ... (Read More)meet and I LOVE a good lap snuggle! Micki (who is a 3-year-old Pekingese) and I were rescued from Chicago Animal Care & Control through the CRISP program. Our previous owner could no longer keep us, but we hit the jackpot because we got to go home with the president of Fetching Tails Foundation instead of going inside the big, busy shelter! We are having lots of fun at our foster home. We love to hang outside in the yard, and we really love to go for long walkies around the neighborhood with our foster parents. I like to be near my human as much as possible and am happiest when I am on my foster mommy's lap. Well, I guess you could say the only thing I love more than cuddling is my bestie Micki; I really need to be adopted with him because I look to him for guidance and confidence. We have been together a long time and really hope to stay that way. Two dogs are better than one anyway, right? Right! And if you already have pets, the more the merrier, I say! Micki and I get along well with dogs of all sizes and even kitty cats! I am also a very polite little darling, as well. I don't need to be crated when my humans have to go to that place they call work, and as long as I have my buddy Micki nearby I will happily relax until my parents come home again. More than anything, I just want a happy, loving home for Micki and me to go to together. If you think that could be with you, please get in touch with my foster mommy soon and tell her you are ready for this loving, affectionate duo! Kisses and cuddles, Mouse If interested please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org or if any questions please email us! PIease Read Before Adopting a Cairn in Illinois
Cairn Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. The Cairn Terrier is a shaggy, spunky little dog with tons of energy and personality. The indefatigable Cairn is full of energy and is very lovable. Cairns love to dig, chase, and bark. Cairns are very active and need plenty of exercise but adapt well to apartment life. Cairns like to do tricks and are very trainable. Cairns are wonderful with children. A Cairn can be very territorial and should be watched for a tendency to take on much larger dogs if it feels threatened.
